Sheryl and her family were kind enough to open their home to us on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Her husband Pete spent half his Christmas Eve day with us giving us the tour of their area, spotting about a dozen wild deer, and fishing in a nearby river. They had a nice continental breakfast and home brewed coffee waiting for us when we woke up both mornings. We spent time feeding the deer they raise on their property and got some awesome pictures with their sheep. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. They both had heaters, heated towel racks, and the beds were SO comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful! What a lovely way to end our holiday before returning to Cape Town. Loved the high ceilings, thick soft towels and great shower. Thank-you Sheryl for being such a gracious host. Loved getting up close to the deer and meeting Katie the hand-reared beauty! Thanks to Scruff the dog for easing the hearts of people who miss their animals at home! We also loved the beautiful garden with the soft white down falling from the the Chinese Poplar trees ... looks just like snow!
